Little Dipper DS Dime Jig DOB: 2/8/10 Sire: Old Mountain Farm Dan Seur- AGS Nat'l Champion Jr Buck (Old Mountain Farm Woodrow x 2*M Old Mountain Farm Ballerina 2*D 'E' AR2104) Dam: CH Little Dipper DITW MsMoneyBags AR2242 (CH/ARMCH Castle Rock Rainy Day Fund *D x BRB SS Dust in the Wind) This little guy is really turning out nicely. I love his dam's overall appearance and dairy character, as well as her udder that milks down to nothing, teat size, udder shape, etc. This little buck has great general appearance, nice angulation (although he's not displaying that in the picture), and an improvement in width and sharpness overall. We'll hopefully be using him on quite a few girls this next year depending on his maturity. |

I
liked the kids from this breeding so much, we decided to keep
this buckling as a herd sire (we very rarely keep bucks intact). Spender has a strong
topline with flat bone and very nice rib spacing. He's also very wide
between the hocks with one of the best escutchens I've seen on a buck. With his conformation and the udder genetics in his background, I
couldn't ask for a better blend of characteristics. Spender's first daughter's freshened this year and we are absolutely thrilled with the results! He's a mama's boy
(even though he's quite pungent) and still follows me around the
pasture asking for some lovins.

Sparky is co-owned with 3G Family Farm. He's definitely not a crawl in your pocket buck but the dairy character, rumps and front ends he passes on to his offspring are phenomenal. He has an excellent uphill stance, topline and length of body. His front end assembly and rump with are exactly what we need improvements on in our does.

NO SHOW RECORD
Somehow
along the line, we had ended up with only one of Dusty's doelings after
selling him. We're grateful to have him back in the herd after seeing
the improvements in his offspring. All of his doelings have done well
in the showring. He stands incredibly wide in the rear, with a high,
open escutchen. He has strong, straight legs and hooves, incredibly
flat bone, not to mention the great rib spacing and brisket extension.
He has already proved himself as well in the mammary area of his
doelings, improving udders well over their dam with attachments,
medial, and teat size and placement. Two of his daughters have easily gotten their AR stars as first fresheners, so he's been a huge improvement in "milkyness" as well. Each freshened daughter I have seen milks down to absolutely nothing. Very soft, milkable udders that are full of milk, not meat. We have also been impressed with the front end assemblies and straightness of hooves and legs he has given to his offspring. He's not
the friendliest of bucks so even though he's already gotten a good
start to proving himself with his offspring, he's never made it into
the show ring.

He's very well blended, long and level as you can see in the photo, and even being a black buck, he's still very eye-catching. He has a beautiful escutchen and great with between his hocks as well as a long bone pattern and open rib spacing. His daughters, Roc N Ewe DE Angie 2*D AR, Roc N Ewe Part Doll 2*D, and Roc N Ewe DE Flower Child 2*D got Earl his +S with Flower Child holding the All Time High Score in NDGA for Butterfat. BoD is long with good angulation, flat bone, good spring of rib, and stands on strong hooves and legs. He has his sire's nice brisket and chest floor, not to mention the width between his hocks and open escutchen. |
