Little Dipper Farms was one of many I contacted in my initial research into Nigerian Dwarfs.  We are a little different buyer in that we are not interested in showing or selling, but wish to put together a small closed homestead herd for our family.  Sierra was the first breeder who was willing to work with our needs and goals.  She sold me two does that were very suited to our vision and was generous with her after sale boarding clause to allow us time to build out our “goat shack” before bringing the girls home.  She also provided some wonderful phone support when our wether (that came with the girls) developed a bad cough and also a cyst on his jaw.  Her most generous donation of time came when I needed to learn how to disbud my first kids.  She not only demonstrated, but allowed me far more practice in one afternoon than I would have gotten in several seasons with my small herd.  Just recently she actually helped save one of my does by giving me a timely head’s up that labor was lasting way too long and I needed to go in after a kid.  Without that knowledge, I would have continued to wait for her to deliver and probably lost everybody.  Sierra has also helped to guide us in the decision to acquire a guardian llama….without her input it is not something we would have even thought of at this stage. 

While Sierra and I clearly have different husbandry styles, she has always respected my goat-care values and offered me as much or as little advice as I require.  She is fastidious about the health of her herd and clearly puts her goats first.  I would not hesitate to purchase from her in the future and would highly recommend her to any first time buyer as a fantastic resource and trustworthy seller.
